How do I play Coco Car Cards?

the game consists of a caller and players and as the journey progresses the players claim cards relating to vehicles and roadside features as they are passed. The players are then given another card and continue until the pack is exhausted or the destination is reached. See rules for complete instructions.

What age range is the game suitable for?

A simplified version of the game can be played from 4 years of age, although normally we would say 5 to 12 years of age is perfect

How long does the game take to play?

The length of the game very much depends on the traffic conditions and can vary between 45 minutes and up to 2 hours, we also mention in the rules that the game can be finished early if the destination is reached before the pack has been exhausted and a winner can be announced.

How many can play the game?

Usually we say at least 2 players are needed to play but for example if there is a single child travelling the caller can also play to give the child an element of competition. The upper limit would be around 7 or 8 on a long coach ride for example, obviously 2 decks could also be mixed to double the number of players. The game could also be played as a team game where one person on the team collect the cards but all the players participate in observing and claiming the cards.

Can other games be played using the pack of cards?

Very much so and we welcome hearing about novel games created using the pack, one customer already developed a version of the game where instead of dealing the cards to the players, the caller holds 5 random cards and the first player to see corresponding vehicles or features claims and then holds the card until the end of the game, the caller then selects another random card and so on.
